Is Inbox Dollars a Legit Online Business?

If you take the time to think of all the things you usually do on the internet on a daily basis, what comes to mind?  You surf the net for information, you watch videos, you play games, or make purchases.  Have you just for a moment ever thought what would it be like to get paid for doing the same things I just mentioned? Well, I’m happy to say that there is a company (one of several) that pays people for engaging in their everyday internet activities they love to do–Inbox Dollars.

Company’s Mission and Purpose

Inbox Dollars was created in 2000 for the purpose of paying people with cash for doing everyday activities online, such as reading emails, watching videos, making purchases, taking surveys and playing games. This company also provides a platform for advertisers to present their offers to its members for possible purchases. This is a win-win situation for both member and advertiser in that the member gets paid real cash (not points) and the advertiser gets to reach a real targeted audience most likely to be interested in what is being offered for purchase.

Product Overview and Highlights

Here is a brief video describing the most popular features of Inbox Dollars.

Possible Drawbacks

Out of all the different activities that Inbox Dollars allows you to do, the one pet peeve I have is that I do not meet the qualifications to participate in a majority of the surveys offered. What I mean by that is as soon as the survey questionnaire asks me if I have children under the age of 18 or what age group I belong to (the answers are no and over 50), I know that I will be disqualified for that survey. Sometimes the disqualification is rather quick; other times I have spent 10 minutes or more answering questions only to be eventually disqualified. I don’t like having my time wasted answering survey questions only to be disqualified later on.  I do not know if there is any truth to this, but I think that if you are married with children under 18, you will most likely have the best chance of making money by taking the surveys presented.

Another drawback to Inbox Dollars is that they are rather slow in paying you a check for monies earned. Unless you are a gold member, you will have to wait an average of 2 to 3 weeks to receive a check. I have no idea why it takes them this long to send a check to those members who have earned it.

A third drawback to Inbox Dollars is that the pay is extremely low for the amount of time and effort you put into doing various activities. For instance, I completed 13 surveys last year, and all I earned for my effort was $7.75.

Is Inbox Dollars Legit?

Yes, Inbox Dollars is a real legitimate business.  They actually walk the talk and are true to their word. This is why I give them a 4-star rating. For instance, they deliver any monies owed as promised. In fact, I have earned 3 checks from them since I’ve been a member, and I have not had any problems receiving my checks in the mail. They have since added the option of having your money deposited into a cash card in lieu of mailing a check.

As for the games, my favorites are Scrabble Cubes, Big Money, and Swap It. There is no limit to how many times you can play for free, and if you decide to enter a paid contest, they will only enter you in a contest with people who have similar skill as you do. In other words, they will not let you enter a contest with those who are more advanced in skill. They want to give you the best chance of winning some money by pitting you against those with similar skill. The more games you play, the more you will increase your skill–Inbox Dollars will eventually allow you to play against those who are more advanced.

Conclusion

Inbox Dollars is definitely not going to make you rich overnight.  Let’s face it, earning 2 cents per email read and 1 cent per video watched is not going to break the bank. However, reading emails and watching videos in addition to making purchases from the offers presented and taking surveys, the monies earned will eventually add up. How fast you earn money with Inbox Dollars is completely up to you–there is no minimum requirement of work you need to do on the website. Just keep in mind that Inbox Dollars wants to pay you for doing the things that you regularly do on the internet. If you are looking for an opportunity that does not require much work and can supplement other income, why not consider Inbox Dollars?

  1. Hi Deidre!

  2. I like your honest review Deidre! I like that you don’t try like many others to call every program a scam. As I can see, the program is legit and it’s possible to make some decent money with but some drawbacks that you’ve mentioned here make me think that this program is a waste of time IMO. But anyone is free to try it and make some money.

      Hi Rufat,
Thanks for commenting on my review. For the most part, I use Inbox Dollars mainly to play some games and read the emails
whenever I have spare time. I am not really in it for the money because of the low pay for the amount of time spent doing
various tasks. But there are some people who subscribe to many affiliate programs like these and have a lot of time on their
hands to answer surveys, read emails, watch videos, etc. Like you said, anyone is free to try it and make some money.
